MISSION
Debt Collection Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections.
OUTCOMES
√ Analyses and monitors the quality of the portfolio, the necessary changes in operational processes to reduce credit risk,
√ Negotiate payment arrangements and follow the process to ensure that payments are being made.
√ Searching for and finding additional information that is necessary for the optimal performance of the staff.
√ Organizing and following the process of taking over loan portfolios to and from third parties, including the enforcement process
√ Builds and monitors statistical and other analyses that help in the early identification of potential risks in all processes, especially in relation to credit quality
√ Leads, recruits, develops, and motivates department staff to increase efficiency
COMPETENCIES
√ Preparation and analysis of periodic reports required by senior management regarding the progress and measures needed to be taken for high performance of this unit
√ Monitoring credit performance by setting clear objectives on a monthly basis and supervising achievements related to late loan composition
√ Organizing delinquency committees in order to present new issues and strategies in delinquency management.
√ Cooperation with other departments in order to facilitate processes which are related to some other departments such as operations, risk, sales, etc.
√ To monitor the progress of the process implemented in the internal systems, the generation of tasks in accordance with the procedures of the unit, the timely identification of problems and to introduce the necessary changes in order to improve the process.
√ Organizing and following the process of taking over loan portfolios to and from third parties, including the enforcement process
√ Management of the overdue credit collection unit by professionally systematizing the division of responsibilities and the smooth and effective process in this unit
MAIN REQUIREMENTS
√ Master’s degree in one of related areas: Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or other similar fields.
√ Experience in banking or microfinance industry + 5 years will be considered an advantage.
√ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
√ Strong skills in identifying and solving problems
√ Analytical skills and attention to detail
√ Excellent time manager and with the ability to prioritize the performance of several tasks simultaneously
