, is currently recruiting an
Accounting and Finance Specialist.
Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate periodically with the local accounting firms supporting the company’s branches, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, reconciliations, tax filings and financial reporting;
Coordinate with local accounting firms to ensure compliance with the applicable financial and tax requirements in each country where the company operates;
Coordinate with customs agencies regarding energy imports and exports and reconcile customs documentation with the relevant transactions and systems;
Record bank statements in NAV/Microsoft Dynamics for all banks used by the company;
Prepare and submit bank payments for approval, including payments related to energy, capacity, operating expenses and other liabilities, and administer cash transactions in accordance with internal procedures;
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily liquidity, including tracking and reporting collections and payments;
Record and monitor sales invoices issued to eligible B2B customers;
Monitor branch invoicing, liability payments, supporting documentation and operational communication with partners and local accounting firms;
Prepare information related to bank guarantees, verify their validity and expiry dates, and coordinate with the Finance Manager for final approval;
Support period-end closing activities and prepare the information required for financial reporting.
Requirements for this position are:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field;
Professional experience in finance and/or accounting, with practical exposure to accounting processes and financial reporting;
Knowledge of Albanian financial and tax legislation, as well as IFRS;
Experience in preparing financial and tax filings and supporting documentation, reconciliations and periodic accounting closings;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite;
Good command of written and spoken English, required for cooperation with accounting firms and business partners across the region;
Very good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to clearly communicate requirements, standards and reporting deadlines;
Ability to follow up on outstanding matters through resolution and ensure that the necessary documentation is provided within the required deadlines.
