Operations Supervisor – Entertainment & Leisure Centre
.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the centre’s day-to-day activities and overseeing organisational, service and safety standards across all operational areas. The role works closely with department managers and team leaders to ensure the smooth coordination of approximately 50 employees.
This is an operational role requiring an active on-site presence, continuous communication with the team and direct interaction with customers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee the centre’s day-to-day activities and ensure that all service areas operate effectively and in a coordinated manner;
Work closely with department managers and team leaders to organise daily activities, allocate responsibilities and resolve operational issues;
Coordinate the different operational areas, including reception, activities, cleaning, customer service, the bar and the restaurant;
Maintain an active presence throughout the centre and support the team in resolving day-to-day operational matters;
Monitor customer service and handle complaints or sensitive situations;
Ensure that safety procedures, internal rules and operating standards are followed by both employees and customers;
Identify staffing needs and work with Human Resources throughout the recruitment, onboarding and performance management processes;
Review customer feedback and operational issues and propose practical improvements;
Identify opportunities to improve and expand the centre’s range of services and packages, prepare relevant proposals for the Directors’ approval and coordinate the implementation of agreed initiatives;
Provide regular updates to the Directors regarding operations, staffing, customer feedback and other relevant matters.
Requirements for this position are:
University degree in
Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance
, or a related field;
Previous experience in a
supervisory or management role
within a customer-facing and operationally intensive business;
Experience in
hospitality, leisure, entertainment
or another multi-service environment would be an advantage;
Initiative and the ability to develop proposals for new services, packages and activities and coordinate their implementation;
Strong
people management skills
, with the ability to motivate and support employees;
Ability to manage demanding customers and resolve complaints calmly and professionally;
Good organisational and practical problem-solving skills.
