Overview:
As our remote PM Coordinator, you are the command center for our linehaul operation during overnight hours. You’ll keep freight moving on schedule, manage real-time coverage, hold
drivers accountable to our standards, and serve as the key point of contact between our drivers and FedEx terminal personnel. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role — when you’re on, you’re running the show.
Responsibilities
:
• Oversee overnight linehaul departures across all five stations, confirming drivers are
staged, trailers are hooked and inspected, and every run leaves on time per the FedEx schedule.
• Manage real-time coverage gaps — call in slip-seat or cross-terminal drivers when a driver no-shows or a run is at risk, and apply our Cross-Terminal Coverage and Slip Seat
compensation policies correctly.
• Verify Whip Around inspection compliance for outbound drivers, including the fifth wheel lock jaw photo requirement, and flag non-compliance into the progressive discipline
workflow.
• Communicate directly with FedEx terminal personnel on holds, delays, and load readiness, escalating issues as needed.
• Document incidents accurately per our internal reporting checklist and log everything dispatch supervisors need for shift handoff.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with drivers throughout the shift.
Requirements
:
• Prior dispatch, logistics, transportation, or fleet coordination experience (FedEx Ground / linehaul experience strongly preferred).
• Reliable, self-directed, and calm under pressure — comfortable making real-time decisions independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
• Strong communicator, both with drivers and with FedEx personnel.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in spreadsheets, dispatch tools, and digital reporting systems.
