Senior Banking Specialist - Corporate Banking Department at BKT
About the position:
Corporate bankers are responsible for managing the loan relationship between a corporate business and the bank. The corporate banker will work with its senior management to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement plans that will help the bank to achieve its goals. The candidate should have a great understanding about the Albanian banking industry, products and services, and very good interpersonal and communication skills.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
To act as one of the reference persons in the Bank keeping contact with Corporate, customers.
Collecting, maintaining database & management of Specific loan’s Request & other related requests for Corporate customers & international customers, submitting to Department Manager for approval and issuing response.
To present and introduce all corporate products to customers.
To establish and maintain effective relations with new and existing customers.
To collaborate in initiating and promoting new corporate product packages offered by BKT in the market.
To approach, negotiate and propose the credit facilities for Corporate & international customers.
To continuously monitor the market, financial and business performance of the borrower and to communicate such to the superiors.
To visit customers, to prepare discussion forms for the customer visits and to hand those to superiors.
To proactively identify new business and referral opportunities and to create additional income across divisions of the bank.
To continuously assess the quality of service provided to clients, ensuring service provision is of the highest quality.
To develop measures and processes to assess service levels and to identify potential improvements.To ensure that a significant proportion of time is spending on relationship management and member calls.
To actively establish, develop and utilize networks of internal and external contacts to aid achievement of income targets.
To collaborate with other departments, i.e: Legal, Credit, Risk departments, Property Appraisal department, etc., for solving client issues.
To be aware of workloads and volumes, provide guidance, and support when required.
To prepare necessary reports requested by superiors.
To perform on time other duties given by the Director/Department Manager/Asst. Manager.
To initiate or participate in different specific projects, related with business customers, as requested by the Department Manager/Asst. Manager or the Director.
To prepare the Board file and presantation once the loan proposal has been approved by the Credit Committee, submit to the Department Manager/Asst. Manager/Director.
To prepare collaboration contracts with public institutions, insurance companies and other business companies

Skills Required:
Communication skills:
To have good communication skills as the candidate is required to communicate with clients in person, over the phone or through email, as well as communicate with other departments within the Bank, such as Credit Assessment Department, Legal Affairs Department, Loan Operation Department, Support Services Department etc.
Technical skills:
to have the knowledge and ability to use software and technology to complete the work, including using software to create financial models, analyze data and communicate with customers.
Analytical skills:
To have good analytical skills to analyze and interpret data and information, analyze financial data and present it in a way that is easy to understand. This can include creating graphs and charts to help explain the data.
Problem-solving skills:
To be able to assess the client’s needs and develop a solution that meets their objectives, while adhering to all bank policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Having graduated from relevant faculties: Economy, Business Administration and other economic majors.
5+ years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in Corporate Banking or Large Corporate Banking
Proven experience managing relationships with large corporate clients.
Strong track record in business development, client acquisition, and portfolio growth.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of:
Corporate finance and financial analysis.
Credit risk assessment and underwriting.
Cash management and transaction banking solutions.
Trade finance products.
Treasury and foreign exchange solutions.
Structured finance and syndicated loans.
Preferred Profile:
Strong network within the large corporate and business community.
Experience interacting with senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
