    Job Title: Commis / Kitchen Assistant (Seasonal – April to September)

    Reports To: Executive Chef / Sous Chef
    Position Summary:
    Green Coast Hotel is seeking a motivated Commis Chef / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team for the peak season from April to September. The role involves assisting the Executive Chef and kitchen staff in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. This seasonal position is ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, luxury resort environment.
    Key Responsibilities:
    Assist in preparing ingredients (washing, chopping, basic cooking, etc.).
    Ensure proper storage and organization of kitchen products and supplies.
    Support chefs in the preparation of recipes and the presentation of dishes.
    Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen equipment.
    Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
    Help with washing and organizing utensils and kitchen tools.
    Report any shortages, issues, or malfunctions regarding products or equipment.
    Participate in daily kitchen operations under the guidance of senior chefs.
    Qualifications:
    Prior experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
    Basic culinary skills and knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
    Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
    Team player with good communication skills.
    Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    Seasonal Note: This role is seasonal from April to September, perfect for candidates seeking experience in a high-volume luxury resort kitchen during the busy summer season.
