Job Title: Reservation & Revenue Supervisor (Seasonal)
Department/Function: Front Office
Job Definition:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Reservation & Revenue Supervisor to lead and manage our reservation team, oversee online channels, and handle key sales responsibilities in a seasonal capacity. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations for reservations, enhancing revenue management strategies, and building strong relationships with travel agencies and other sales channels.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an understanding of revenue optimization, and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. The Reservation & Revenue Supervisor will also collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive bookings and ensure optimal occupancy and rates.
Key Responsibilities::
Supervise and provide leadership to the reservations team to ensure efficient handling of all reservation inquiries, bookings, and cancellations.
Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Train, motivate, and support the reservation team, ensuring they meet performance targets and uphold the standards of the organization.
Maintain a cohesive and positive working environment to maximize team productivity.
Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize room rates and ensure maximum occupancy during the seasonal period.
Monitor market trends and competitor pricing, recommending adjustments to pricing strategies based on demand, availability, and market conditions.
Ensure proper inventory management across all distribution channels to avoid overbooking or underbooking.
Oversee the management and performance of online distribution channels (OTA’s, booking engines, etc.), ensuring all platforms are up-to-date with accurate rates, availability, and promotional content.
Monitor and analyze booking patterns and make recommendations for improvements in online channel strategy to increase online visibility and booking conversions.
Handle any technical issues or discrepancies with online platforms and ensure the seamless flow of reservations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (2+ years) in reservations, revenue management, or sales within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team.
Knowledge of online booking systems, OTAs, and revenue management practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners, including travel agencies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and revenue management software is a plus.
Flexibility to work during peak seasonal periods, including weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions:
