Tirana International Airport SHPK (TIA) is seeking to hire a
ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
who will report to the Accounting and Treasury Director of the company.
Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:

Responsible for performing daily entries to ledger accounts;Responsible for recording general and administrative expenses, personnel costs, amortizations and depreciations expenses (IFRS) and financial expenses;Responsible for the maintenance of depreciation and amortization files;Responsible for the maintenance of debtors and creditors in the accounting software;Responsible for administering the billing process and ensuring correct invoicing in compliance with TIA policies and the services provided;Responsible for performing controls of agent transactions related to cargo services;Ability to calculate the interest fees for late payments of clients as per contracts;Responsible for following up collection of receivables, and reconciling the outstanding balance with customers;Responsible for performing reconciliations of:suppliersÂ’ open positionsassets registered with procurement officeinputted software transactions with tax file books prepared by tax specialistcargo servicesbank statements and accounts balanceResponsible for the evaluation and recording of VAT, and registering the withholding tax in the accounting software;Responsible for preparing periodic (weekly treasury, aging reports, etc.) and other required reports ;Responsible to provide input for financial statementsÂ’ preparation;Assist in departmentÂ’s budget preparation.
Requirements of the position:
University Degree in Finance/Accounting or related fieldKnowledge of Albanian accounting systems and tax legislationAt least two to four years of working experience in related job responsibilitiesFamiliar with financial softwareAdept at Microsoft Office packageAbility to work effectively as part of a teamAccurate and able to handle detailed workAnalytical and numerical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsFluent in English languageAbility to prioritize work and meet deadlinesAbility to prepare quality reportsHonest, reliable and with integrity
