JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Title:FIX NETWORKS TECHNICIANDepartment:Technical Department (Fix Networks)Reports to (role title):Region Manager / Group Head
Role Purpose:The technician's responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems, and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
Key Acountabilities:
Inspecting, analyzing, repairs and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
Writing up reports (FoT), safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.
Sourcing replacement parts.
Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
Keeping abreast of advancements in your field and attending workshops as required.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience required: (Include Professional / Technical and Personal Attributes)
High school diploma
Experience as a network technician.
Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
Basic knowledge of MS Office
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
A driver's license.
Key Metrics & Relationships:
Key Metrics:
Reports to the Region Manager
Responsible for repairing all the networks problems on time, based on set KPIs.
Responsible for reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.
Relationships:
Interaction with Team Leader, Regional Manager, Project Manager
