Job Title: Demi Chef de Partie (Seasonal – April to September)
Department: Kitchen
Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef
Position Summary:
Green Coast Hotel is seeking a skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team for the peak season from April to September. The Demi Chef de Partie will assist in managing a specific kitchen station, supporting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation. This seasonal role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to menu and hotel standards.
Support the Chef de Partie in managing a particular kitchen station (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, vegetables).
Ensure timely and consistent food preparation during high-volume periods.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the workstation.
Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Assist in inventory management and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff as required.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and high standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role within a high-standard kitchen environment is preferred.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Seasonal Note: This role is seasonal from April to September, ideal for candidates looking to gain experience in a dynamic, luxury resort environment during the busy summer season.
