Job Description
Administer, maintain, and optimize mainly Oracle databases 19c, or later.
Implement and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN
Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to ensure optimal operation.
Installation configuration and maintenance of Oracle/MS SQL Database servers on a synchronized data environment.
Installation configuration and maintenance of Oracle products .
Perform and plan database backup and recovery procedures.
Plan and implement redundancy and disaster recovery scenario.
Document database architecture, procedures, and best practices
Troubleshoot, monitor and implement performance tuning on the Oracle/MS SQL Databases
Manage database security, logins, users, roles and object permissions.
Plan and execute database upgrades or modifications, bug fixes or functionality enhancements.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application needs
Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
· A minimum of 5-year experience as Oracle DBA is required, preferably on financial business.
· 3 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
· Very good knowledge of Oracle 19c databases.
· Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
· Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
· Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system.
· Working experience with Oracle administration tools, Oracle Enterprise manager, Import/Export, Data dump etc.
· Working experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming language.
· Familiarity with Oracle specific tools, utilities and Oracle Support.
· Ability to adapt to changes in information technology and quickly learn and utilize new database tools and methodologies.
· Excellent analytical and communication skills.
· Ability to learn quickly.
· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or work in a team-oriented project.
· Certifications like OCP, OCA, MSCA SQL are an asset.
