DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architect scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions by translating business requirements into end-to-end technical designs across data ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers.
Manage the execution and delivery of data and analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, resource availability, timelines, and risk management practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to gather, clarify, and translate requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Lead technical design sessions and guide data engineers, analysts, and developers to ensure consistency with architectural standards and best practices.
Design and maintain enterprise data architecture strategies and models (conceptual, logical, and physical), ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Define and oversee data integration approaches, including the design and implementation of robust ETL/ELT workflows and batch or real-time data flows.
Review and validate data models, data pipelines, and system integration designs to ensure they meet performance, scalability, and maintainability standards.
Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance by applying proper data governance, encryption, access control, and protection mechanisms.
Monitor and improve performance of implemented data solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased system reliability.
Define and maintain architecture documentation including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and integration maps to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure the technical readiness of the environment for new and updated data solutions.
Liaise with external vendors, technology partners, and consultants to evaluate solutions and ensure third-party implementations meet internal architectural and business standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data architecture, solution design, or data engineering, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), and architecture design principles.
Proficient in ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Oracle Data Integrator or Azure Data Factory.
Strong command of SQL and working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
Proven experience designing scalable and secure data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics use cases.
Familiar with modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or equivalent technologies, including hybrid data architectures.
Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements, especially in regulated industries such as banking or finance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, reviewing solution designs, and making architecture-level decisions in complex environments.
