Job Title: Building Architect (Multifamily - Philadelphia Code Compliance)
Location: Remote (Overseas Applicants Welcome)
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
Overview:We are seeking an experienced Architect to support the drafting of architectural plans for multifamily residential buildings in Philadelphia, PA. This is a remote position ideal for overseas professionals with expertise in U.S. building code compliance. The architect will work off of existing plans and guidelines to develop full drawing sets for city permitting and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft complete architectural plans for multifamily projects including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
Ensure all drawings adhere to Philadelphia building, zoning, safety, and fire codes
Use provided existing plans as reference material to align layout, structure, and design elements
Prepare plan sets for city permit submission
Make revisions based on internal feedback or city review comments
Coordinate with our internal development and construction team remotely
Requirements:
Degree in Architecture or related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting tools
Experience drafting for U.S.-based residential or multifamily projects
Familiarity with Philadelphia codes and IBC standards
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience drafting plans for submission in the City of Philadelphia
Familiarity with CMX zoning and local overlays
Ability to interpret surveys, civil/MEP coordination drawings
Knowledge of ADA, fire separation, egress, and light/air requirements
Compensation:
Competitive per-project or monthly rate (commensurate with experience)
Long-term collaboration potential with steady project flow
