The job holder is accountable for fulfilling the roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic Relief values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of colleagues and staff.
Job Purpose:
The role will look to support the Fundraising Manager in fulfilling the organizational objectives of developing and optimizing on community fundraising and volunteer initiatives. This will be done through developing strong donor relationships with stakeholders in Albania, developing strong volunteer networks across the country, supporting the fundraising unit in the organization of events and activities as well as assisting with Fundraising / Campaigns coordination.
The successful candidate must have:
• Experience in establishing and developing relationships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrate experience in project coordination i.e. events and campaigns
• Experience of organizing and supervising events
• Experience of recruiting, managing and developing volunteers
• Knowledge and understanding of the local region and community
• Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to motivate and manage volunteers
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objectives of the organization
• Ability to represent Islamic Relief in a wide range of situations
• Strong organizational skills i.e. ability to prioritize and plan work, set and achieve deadlines, establish and maintain monitoring systems etc.
• Have flexible approach to work
• Very good written and spoken English is essential.
• Driving license
Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel within Albania to capture project activities.
