    Accountant/Reporting Manager – Regulatory & Management Reporting

    Location: Albania

    Job Type: Full-time

    About the Company:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented accountant/reporting manager to join our finance team to support our growing business.

    Role Overview:

    As an Accountant specializing in regulatory and management reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements set by local authorities in multiple European jurisdictions. You will also provide accurate and timely management accountancy reports to support business decisions. This role requires strong knowledge of European accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and the fintech/e-commerce industry. This role requires independent maintenance of accounting records with cooperation directly with CFO.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Regulatory Reporting:
    Maintenance of accounting records. Prepare reports for authorities in accordance with local laws and European standards.
    Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
    Assist in audits, preparing documentation, and liaising with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
    Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations and ensure the company’s financial practices remain compliant.

    Management Accountancy Reporting:
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    Take part in financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
    Work closely with finance team to forecast, budget, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
    Ensure accurate cost allocation and revenue recognition in line with company policies.

    Financial Controls:
    Implement and maintain robust financial controls across all entities to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data.
    Assist in the development and improvement of internal financial processes.
    Perform reconciliation of accounts, including intercompany reconciliations for European entities.

    Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    Work closely with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and operations to ensure financial data alignment.
    Coordinate with external accounting partners, tax consultants, and auditors across different European markets.
    Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required by management or authorities.

    Requirements:


    Education & Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or relevant certification such as ACCA or CIMA is a plus).
    Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or local equivalent is a plus).

    Experience:
    3-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally within the fintech, e-commerce, or financial services sector (construction/production considered as a plus) as a chief accountant, financial controller or accountant in the singular.
    Experience in preparing (submitting is a plus) financial reports to European regulatory authorities.
    Strong knowledge of European GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.

    Skills:
    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, etc) and advanced MS Excel skills. Ability to work independently with huge data in Excel.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
    Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good level of business English.
