Radar Engineer - Lockheed Martin Systems Expertise
Position Title: Radar Engineer
Location: Kuwait
Employment Type: Full-Time Salary band: 3,000 - 3,500 KWD/month
๐ About the Role
We are actively seeking an experienced Radar Engineer with 10 - 15 years of expertise in the operations, system administration, maintenance, and software lifecycle management of Lockheed Martin radar systems (FPS-117, TPS-59, TPS-77). This pivotal role supports mission-critical surveillance and defense operations, ensuring the continued performance and reliability of advanced radar capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience maintaining and optimizing these radar systems, a proven technical background, and a proactive approach to solving complex challenges. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in supporting advanced surveillance and defense strategies in dynamic operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
As our Radar Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
๐ฅ Operations Support & System Administration
Administer and monitor Lockheed Martin radar systems, ensuring peak operational readiness.
Troubleshoot radar performance issues and implement solutions to maintain system uptime.
Integrate radar systems into existing command and control networks, supporting situational awareness operations.
๐ System Maintenance & Technical Diagnostics
Perform routine and corrective maintenance on systems including FPS-117, TPS-59, and TPS-77.
Conduct fault isolation, diagnostics, and corrective repairs, ensuring operational reliability under varying environmental conditions.
Software Updates & System Modernization
Plan, test, and implement critical software upgrades and patches to maintain system compatibility and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with software development teams to evaluate and integrate cutting-edge enhancements.
Technical Analysis, Reporting & Documentation
Analyze system performance metrics and prepare comprehensive technical reports to assess system readiness and operational trends.
Maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, operational changes, and maintenance records.
Training & Technical Support
Mentor and train military personnel and technical operators on system usage, operations, and maintenance requirements.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for system support teams, ensuring understanding of Lockheed Martin radar systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in radar system operations, maintenance, and support.
Demonstrated expertise in Lockheed Martin Radar Systems, specifically:
FPS-117 (Long-range 3D air surveillance system)
TPS-59 (Early warning and airspace monitoring radar)
TPS-77 (Mobile, deployable air surveillance system)
Core Skills & Expertise:
Proven ability in system diagnostics, operations support, and technical maintenance.
Expertise in system administration and software patch updates in radar systems.
Familiarity with network communications and radar system integration protocols.
Proficiency in fault analysis and preventive maintenance strategies.
Advanced knowledge of military surveillance technical standards and system operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., radar system certifications, system lifecycle management qualifications).
Military technical qualifications or experience in surveillance system deployment.
Technical Competencies:
Strong understanding of radar signal analysis, system integration, and software lifecycle management.
Familiarity with operational requirements in deployment or combat settings.
