EPPC Albania on behalf of its client, one of the largest and consolidated companies in Albania and the region, is currently recruiting a Chief Accountant.
Major Responsibilities:
Control on a daily basis all accounting structure of the company and ensure that all the transactions are on time and accurate booked according to accounting principles in place;
Ensure control of General ledger and chart of accounts and instruct the accounting staff on accounting procedures and principles to be followed;
Ensure full control on booking of all transactions related to periodical activity like, depreciation provisioning exchange rate differences, related party transactions and other activity;
Ensure the application of all TAX and Fiscal authority rules and practices are applied correctly through the company accounting framework;
Control on monthly basis the cost management booking for all purchases (goods & services) and assure the margin is kept under the budgeted value;
Design and implement internal controls and procedures to facilitate the accounting procedures;
Ensure accurate reporting and analyzing of financial figures of the company;
Work closely and efficiently with Finance Director for generation and preparation of monthly reporting and other reports needed for management reporting purposes;
Prepare and analyze the financial statement of the company for management and statutory purposes;
Perform, analyses on financial statement to identify improvement areas as well as actively participate in annual Budged preparation and forecasts process;
Every month in close action with Finance Director prepare the analyses for budget deviation and differences from actual results;
Ensure a proper control of expenses and income of the company by comparing all the figures with the budget and assure a proper cost control on company level;
Ensure strategic development of Accounting staff and team work performance.
Requirements for this position are:
Degree in Finance/Accounting (Master’s degree is an advantage);
Previous experience in Tax and Accounting management positions;
Excellent Understanding of Accounting practices;
High analytical skills on finance and accounting issues;
Attention to detail & numerical practices/very good organizational and management skills;
Proficient in English & Excellent MS office;
Previous knowledge of ERP and NAV system.
